On June 17th, Assistant President GUO met with Pro-vice Chancellor Paul Monks of University of Leicester, who visited Panjin Campus for potential further collaborations and, meanwhile, held talks with students from the Leicester International Institute, which was jointly established by Dalian University of Technology (DUT) and University of Leicester (UoL) in 2017.
Prof. GUO extended his warm welcome to Prof. Monks, expressed his appreciation of the accomplishments achieved by the joint Institute, and acknowledged his recognition of the contributions and hard work of both sides. Furthermore, Prof. GUO proposed that the cooperation of the two universities should expand into academic research and other feasible areas besides the joint talents cultivation. Meanwhile, Prof. GUO assured that the Panjin Campus will continuously support the joint Institute and make sure that the flying faculty and English tutors from UoL feel at home on the campus.
Prof. Monks echoed the statement of Prof. GUO, and expressed his deep appreciation of the support from DUT. Prof. Monks said that UoL attaches great importance to the joint Institute and assured that the quality of the flying faculty will be guaranteed.
