The School of Ocean Science and Technology was founded on the basis of multiple first-level disciplines of DLUT, such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics and Automatization. It has the National Key Laboratory of Coastal & Off-shore Engineering and the National Key Laboratory of Structural Analysis for Industrial Equipment. This school was established to meet the needs of the National Marine Development Strategy. Therefore, the school provides students with professional skills and knowledge required for advanced equipment and designs in Marine Resources Development and Utilization, Marine Environmental Protection and Military Operation and Integrated Marine Management.

There are 2 majors available in the school: 1. Process Accoutrement and Control Engineering (Equipment of Marine Resources Development direction) 2.Ocean Technology.
