Talent Cultivation

Panjin campus educates students with both theoretical perspectives and practical applications. It offers introductory courses to freshmen, lectured by outstanding academic researchers and industrial entrepreneurs. Enrolled students therefore achieve a quality foundation with a clear understanding of their respective majors which is later reinforced with extensive practical knowledge and skills over the course of study. In addition, students are offered three chances to change their majors within the Campus. At the end of the first year, the top 3% students of each major can choose to continue their study in the main campus. Up to now, 148 undergraduates have transferred to the main campus for further study.

The campus attaches great significance in cultivating creativity and practical skills. It has established the State Intellectual Property Base, basic chemistry and physics laboratories, electrical & electronic laboratory and many other professional laboratories in different fields. The campus also organizes industry placement opportunities for students since it has signed collaborative contracts with many organizations, such as the Panjin Disease Control & Prevention Center and Panjin Justice Bureau, to prepare students with real-life working experiences. Therefore students who graduate from Panjin campus will be innovative, versatile and equipped with strong practical skills. 1616 students have won prizes in the international, national and provincial academic competitions.
