In order to further push forward the process of the International Institute by and between Dalian University of Technology-Leicester, a delegation led by the Vice Chancellor, Sarah Dixon revisited Panjin Campus on December 16th. The other two delegates were Professor Cao Quin, the Deputy Vice Chancellor(China) and the Regional Advisor of China, Ms. Liu Hui.
Professor Lu Zhongchang, the Vice President of DUT and the Director of the Administrative Committee of Panjin Campus, met with the visiting guests at VIP reception room 104 of Administrative Service Building G01, accompanied by the Vice-director of the Administrative Committee of Panjin Campus and the Dean of the School of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering, Prof. He Gaohong, and the Vice Secretary of Department of Research Affairs, International Office, Prof. Zhang Xiujuan.
In the meeting, Prof. Lu firstly expressed his sincere welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced the current status of Panjin Campus as well as future draft strategy. Afterwards, Prof. Dixon gave an introduction on the International Development Strategy of the University of Leicester. Both sides reached consensus on the necessity of establishing the International Institute and discussed the solutions of bottlenecks. The meeting had successfully made process on several issues.
During the visit, the delegation took a look at the Analysis and Testing Center and the laboratories of the School of Food and Environment for a detailed understanding of the campus’teaching, alongside the school library, with highly recognition.
