On Dec.3rd,the Vice President of Dalian University of Technology (DUT) and Director of Panjin Campus, Prof. Lu Zhongchang met with Steve Fisher, the Deputy Head of China Programmes & International Business, Debby Lin-Read, Client Manger of Professional and Executive Programmes, are both from the Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG). Alongside the Deputy Director of Dept. Of European Affairs from China Association for International Exchange of Personnel(CAIEP), Mr. Cai Rui. The Vice Director, Prof. He hosted the meeting and the staff from School of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering, School of Ocean Science and Technology, School of Business and staff from International Office also attended the meeting.
Prof. Lu gave his warm welcome to Mr. Fisher and other visiting guests. He introduced to the delegation the internationalized school running characteristics of Panjin Campus. He also hoped both parties shall make the most of both advantages in school culture, disciplinary construction and talent training, so that the cooperation programs could be started up soon hopefully.
Mr. Fisher firstly expressed his thanks for the hospitality. He said DUT Panjin Campus and WMG were much alike in the scale of school management,disciplinary construction and majors. He also expected for the early start-up of the cooperation programs so that the exchange and cooperation between students, teachers and education could be carried out.
Then both sides discussed the details of cooperation programs related to local enterprises, students, teachers and reached a preliminary result. Prof. He gave a constructive proposal towards the industry-academy cooperation based on the international collaboration.
During the visit, accompanied by VP Lu, Ms. Niu Xiaochun, Vice Dean of School of Humanities and Law and the staff from International office, the delegation visited the Changchun College, Stadiums, and Panjin City Planning Exhibition Centre.
