Delegation of KTH Royal Institute of Technology Visited Panjin Campus

    On October 21, the delegation of KTH visited Panjin campus to further promote the friendly cooperation between the two universities. The delegation includes the Director of Education from the School of Engineering Sciences--Michael Hanke, Head of the School of Architecture and Built Environment--Kjartan Gudmundsson, and Consultant of China at International Relations Office--Dr.Wang Xun.

 

     

In the afternoon, the collaboration symposium was held at VIP reception room W104 of G01. Prof. Lifen Liu, the Vice-dean of the School of Food and Environment  hosted the symposium, teachers of the relevant disciplines from the Department of Basic Sciences, School of of Marine Science and Technology, and Division of Research Affairs attended the meeting. Prof.Liu first expressed warm welcome to KTH delegation, thanked for their long-term support, and introduced Panjin campus from its development, schools, disciplines, talents-education and other aspects. Then Wang Xun, Michael Hanke, Kjartan Gudmundsson comprehensively introduced the KTH, the School of Engineering Science and School of Architecture and Built Environment in turn. The attended teacher respectively introduced their research direction and cooperation intentions. During the discussion, the two sides exchanged views on issues about the method of cooperation,course matching, discipline development and the teacher exchanges. Both sides agreed that they regarded this visit as an opportunity to further promote the exchanges and cooperation, and provide high-quality teaching resources and exchange platforms for students.

 

     

 

In the evening, an information session about DUT&KTH cooperative program was held at A01-N104. Dr Wang Xun comprehensively introduced its historical changes and development, academic strength, outstanding alumni, exchange program, “4 + 2” program, sponsored Ph.D. program, etc. He also presented the policy of studying abroad, welfare, green card, talents introduction which showed students the education idea of equality and a comprehensive understanding of KTH. Later, Michael Hanke and Kjartan Gudmundsson respectively introduced the School of Engineering Science and School of Architecture and Built Environment, and explained the discipline construction, scientific research, faculty and staff, admissions requirements, etc., and warmly welcomed students of Panjin campus to KTH for further study. Finally, the delegation members answered the questions raised by students.

During the visit, accompanied by the staff from Department of Research Affairs, the delegation visited the Changchun College, Stadiums, Analysis and Test Center, and Library.
