In order to enhance the reputation, attract the international talents and develop the international cooperation, the delegation of Panjin campus visited the American universities from Feb 15th to Feb 18th. The delegation included Prof. Lu Zhongchang-- the vice president of Dalian University of Technology and the director of Panjin campus, Prof. He Gaohong-- the vice director of Panjin campus, Associate Prof. Zhang Zhizhong of the School of Humanities and Law and Teacher Lv Bo of the Division of Human Resources.
During the visit, the delegation has got great support from our overseas alumni. The delegation has visited the University of Delaware, University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Minnesota and held the job fairs which attracted more than 80 international students and scholars.
In the job fairs, President Lu introduced Panjin campus and extended the warm welcome to the overseas talents. Prof. He specifically file introduced the talent introduction policy, positions and the application process. Subsequently, campus delegation had in-depth communication with the applicants and answered the questions in detail. A number of outstanding talents showed their intention to join Panjin campus, and submit the resumes on the spot.
During the fairs, the delegation met with the Prof. Yan Yushan—the Vice Dean of the College of Engineering of the University of Delaware, the Prof. Xing Chengguo of the University of Minnesota, and Prof. Wang Chao of the Johns Hopkins University. They discussed about the students exchange, summer camp, talent recruitment, scientific research, and agreed the cooperation intention. Besides, the delegation visited the laboratories at the University of Delaware, University of Maryland, and the University of Minnesota; and held a panel discussion with the alumni from the University of Minnesota.
