In the morning of 14th March, President assistant Guo Jinming met with three people delegation from the University of Utah State in
the conference room, Administration building. The delegates are Jason Smith, Director of cooperation program of Economics and Finance Department, School of Business, Jared Delisle, from Economics and Finance Department, School of Business and Jin Li, Undergraduate Advising. Prof. Wang Xuping, Deputy director of School of business, Panjin campus and staff from Division of Research Affairs attended the meeting.
Prof. Guo expressed his sincere welcome to USU delegation, and reviewed the visiting history between two schools. Prof. Guo introduced that DUT attached importance to internalization and cooperation with universities aboard. DUT has provided MBA courses since 1980s, Prof. Guo said, and the Secretary of State, USA came for the opening ceremony to support the development of Business studies. DUT will increase exchanges with USA and build a stronger cooperative relationship with USU. Guo expressed his wishes to long-lasting friendship and fruitful results.
Jason Smith expressed his gratitude to the warm reception and spoke highly of the campus environment and discipline construction in DUT. Smith expressed that two universities had same big agreement on the basic willingness in terms of “2+2” program. He wanted the visit will promote the development of “2+2” program and he wished the program would take the best pieces from both sides and serve the students well in the future.
