In order to further promote the scientific exchanges and cooperation between DUT and Utah State University (USU), in the afternoon of Dec. 11th, a delegation from the USU met with School of Business, DUT Panjin Campus. The delegates were Prof. Dwight, the Direcor of Academic Programs and Initiatives in China, Andy Layne, the Academic Counsellor of Cooperational Program and Ms. Li Jin, Regional Adviser of China.
Professor Guo Jinming, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, the Vice Director of the Administrative Committee of Panjin Campus, met with the USU delegation. Accompanied by the Dean of the School of Business. During the meeting, Prof. Guo expressed his sincere welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced the current status of Panjin Campus as well as future draft strategy. Also he hoped the visit would enhance the scientific exchanges and collaboration between two sides. During the meeting, Dwight firstly recognized the fast development of the campus internationalisation and he hoped the visit could develop a longterm cooperation. Afterwards, both sides discussed the details of cooperation programs and elites cultivation.
In the same day afternoon, Prof. Dwight gave an introductory lecture in A01. The lecture theme was “ The development of China Economics ”. After the lecture, Prof. Dwight answered the questions raised by students. Lastly, Andy Layne and Jin Li introduced the cooperational programs and warmly welcomed students of Panjin Campus to Utah State University for further study.
