For ensuring the high-quality teaching and education of Leicester International Institute,Dalian University of Technology, promoting the interoperability of the Sino-British teaching and educational system, and achieving the goal of same standard and same level, since June 19 to 23, Geoff Green, Academic Registrar of University of Leicester, Prof.Eric Hope from Department of Chemistry, Dawei Gu from Department of Engineering, Colin Hewitt, Senior Academic Respresentative, Andrew Petersen, Assistant Academic Registrar, Traci Li and Liu Hui from the International Office, visited Panjin Campus. Professor Lu Zhongchang, the Vice President of DUT and the Director of the Administrative Committee of Panjin Campus, met with the UoL delegation and welcomed them warmly. He mentioned that the preparatory work of the International Institute has been progressing and improving steadily, and achieving gradual perfection, but it still faces many challenges. He hopes the two sides will join hands to tackle difficulties, to ensure that high standards of completion of objectives. 

    UoL Delegation discussed with the Vice-director of the Administrative Committee of Panjin Campus and Dean of the School of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering, Prof. He Gaohong, and representatives from Department of Basic Sciences, School of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering, School of Affairs, School of Student Affairs, School of General Affairs, and International Offices for several days, including the students' management, mental health, career development, teaching plan, curriculum settle, graduation requirements, assessment model, teaching evaluation, design of teaching building, etc. The two sides reached a unified opinion and made detailed plans. In addition, Traci, on behalf of UoL, met with the vice president of Business School, Professor Ma Li and other related teachers. They discussed about the feasibility of undergraduate exchange study, 3 + 1 + 1 and master joint training programme, and reached a cooperation intention. 

    During the visit, members of the delegation visited the labs of Applied Chemistry and Process Equipment and Control Engineering, library, Changchun College, stadiums, student cafeteria and building of International Institute. They participated in the 2017 graduation ceremony, and several university fairs in Panjin city, Shenyang city, Dalian city, Shandong province, etc.
