From the 27th to 28th March, Eric Hope, representative from the school of Chemical, University of Leicester (UoL), Prof. Jingzhe Pan, representative from school of Engineering, and Ian Dickens, Head of IT Operations revisited DUT Panjin Campus.
In the morning of 28th , Prof. Zhongchang Lu, the vice-president of DUT and the Director of the Administrative Committee of Panjin Campus, vice-director of the Administrative Committee of DUT Panjin Campus, Gaohong He met with the Leicester representatives at VIP reception room 104 of Administrative Service Building G01, the International Institute Dean Assistant, Ms. Li Yang and staff from the International Office attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Prof. Lu expressed his sincere welcome to the UoL representatives, also set a high standard and expectation towards the International Institute. Prof. Lu hopes that both sides will give the initiatives and advantages into full play, and make efforts on the cooperation in terms of discipline construction, scientific research and social commitment etc,. Both sides exchanged ideas on the curriculum provision, training program, teaching methods, resource sharing, software and hardware construction, and reached consensus in many fields.
The Leicester representatives also had two meetings with the representatives from related majors and staff from IT department, Panjin Campus, regarding the International Institute’s discipline construction, teaching plan, methodology, teaching assessment and training objective; resources sharing via internet and software, distant learning and synchronous video conference respectively. Staff from department of research affairs also participated.
