For promoting the scientific and cultural exchanges between China and Britain, establishing the friendship and cooperation between the universities, on November 9th, Fraser Deas, the Education Services Manager of the British Council and Dr. Huiyu Zhou from the School of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of Queen's University Belfast visited Panjin Campus.

 

    Prof. Lu Zhongchang, Vice-president of DUT and the Director of the Administrative Committee of Panjin Campus, met with visiting guests at VIP reception room of Administrative Service Building G01 accompanied by relevant personnel from the International Office. Prof. Lu expressed his sincere welcome to the guests for their first visit and introduced Panjin Campus in the round. Also he expressed the hope that this visit would start the friendly exchanges and colloborations between the two universities. During the meeting, Dr. Zhou introduced the purpose of this visit and the Queen Queen of Belfast, and expressed the hope that his visit could lay a solid foundation for further cooperation.

 

    Subsequently, the two sides held a meeting to further discuss about the cooperation. Representatives from each School attended this meeting. The two sides reached a number of cooperation intentions by negotiations and discussions.

 

    During the visit, Dr. Zhou gave an introductory lecture entitled “Mouse Behavior Recognition” for students and students of the School of Life and Medical Sciences, and conducted academic exchanges with students.
