Delegation of University of Leicester Visited DUT Panjin Campus

In order to further push the bid of Dalian University of Technology-Leicester International Institute, fully prepare for the appraisement of Ministry of Education, on July 20 and 21, the Vice Chancellor of University of Leicester Paul Monks, Prof. Ian Jarvis, Prof. Eric Hope, Prof. Gu Dawei and Lecturer Wang Bo from the College of Science and Engineering visited DUT Panjin Campus.

Vice president of Dalian University of Technology and the director of Panjin Campus, Prof. Lu Zhongchang received the UoL delegation at G01-W104. The vice director of Panjin Campus, Prof. He Gaohong, the representatives of each collaborative majors and relevant departments attended the meeting. Prof. Lu extended the warm welcome to the delegation of UoL and expressed the gratitude for its efforts on the application. He believed that the friendly cooperation between the two universities would enhance the communication and exchange of Chinese and British culture, science, engineering and technology, as well as output the influential and competitive high quality talents to the world. Paul Monks expressed that, the establishment of the International Institute would promote the development of the two country’s education and the academic power of the two universities, also it would cultivate the teachers and students with internationalized vision. At the meeting, the two sides rectified and communicated about the training program, teacher staffing, course contents based on the professional advantages, further perfect the establishment plan, and held a rehearsal based on the appraisal requirements of MOE. During the visit, the delegation of UoL visited the labs and library of Panjin Campus.
