On October 28th and 29th, Prof. Ewen Macpherson, from the Engineering Department of the University of Edinburgh, was invited to visit Panjin campus.

On his first visiting day, he visited the campus history museum, library, dormitory, teaching buildings etc. accompanied by the staff of the Division of Research Affairs. On the second day, Zhang Xiujuan, Vice Minister of Division of Research Affairs, had a meeting with Prof. Ewen. They had a further discussion on the joint educational programs including“2+2”“4+1”projects as well as the possible areas of cooperation between two sides. Prof. Ewen said the two universities had been in long-term friendly and cooperative relationship for many years and there were nearly fifty students doing greatly successful under the joint educational programs. Prof. Ewen was looking forward to more students from Panjin campus pursuing further study in the University of Edinburgh, and also he was full of confidence in the deep cooperation between the two sides. 

Moreover, Prof. Ewen gave a lecture to the students about the University of Edinburgh and the “2+2” “4+1” programs in details.
